John Thomas of Advanced Workzone Services of Muskogee has been elected as an at-large representative on the board of the Association of Oklahoma General Contractors for 2013.
The 11-person board, elected by association members, will serve during the 2013 calendar year.
The board will work closely with contractors, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation and legislators to continue the improvements of roads and bridges.
“AOGC represents more than 280 construction firms and their 10,000 employees,” said Bobby Stem, the association’s executive director, in a media release. “These board members will provide legislative and regulatory representation in Oklahoma and develop safety training programs, among many other tasks.”
The association is working with ODOT on the Eight-Year Construction Work Plan, which will continue developing Oklahoma’s roads and bridges.
