Cherokee science fair scheduled Saturday

The Seventh annual Cherokee Nation National Science and Engineering Fair will be from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Rozell Ballroom in the University Center of Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.

Nearly 70 students have entered projects in the categories of energy, engineering, environment, life science and physical science. Judging starts at noon through 3:30 p.m. The awards ceremony will follow at 4:45 p.m.

The overall winner will receive an all-expense paid trip to the International Sustainable World Energy Environmental Project fair in Houston in May as a representative from the Cherokee Nation. Trophies and medals will also be awarded for category and division winners.
