Tecumseh woman injured in collision

A Tecumseh woman was injured Tuesday in a single-vehicle collision, according an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

Cathy Lopez, 58, was flown to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, but her condition was unavailable late Tuesday afternoon.

According to the report, Lopez was driving a 2003 Kia eight miles west of Checotah on Oklahoma 266 at approximately 9:30 a.m., when she looked away from the road to change radio stations. She ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree, where the vehicle came to rest on its side. Lopez was wearing her seat belt, and the vehicle’s airbags did deploy.
