A man who was shocked by an electric transformer remains in critical condition at the Hillcrest burn center in Tulsa, said a hospital spokeswoman.
Russell Barlow, 40, allegedly climbed a utility pole in the Tater Hill area of Porum early Saturday when he was shocked. Authorities allege Barlow cut the pole down with the transformer on it and was shocked by a hot line.
Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Bert Poole said Barlow may have intended to steal the copper inside the transformer.
