During its regular meeting Monday, the Muskogee City Council:
CONSENT AGENDA
Approved:
• Claims for all city departments July 2-12.
• Best bid for ready-mix concrete from Mid-Continent Concrete Co., as shown on bid tabulation.
• Low bids from King Carpentry in the amount of $47,040, Tom Crabtree in the amount of $20,400 and Simpson Carpentry in the amount of $41,720 to repair nine structures through the Muskogee Rehabilitation and Revitalization Program.
• Lowest bids for polymer to Polydyne Inc.; sodium bisulfite to Southern Ionics; liquid ferrous chloride to Kemira Water Solutions; anti-foam to Harcross Chemical; liquid ferric chloride to Brenntag Chemical; soda ash to Harcross Chemical; sodium bicarbonate to Harcross Chemical; and calcium hyper chloride to Thatcher Company.
• Lowest bid to Glover and Associates Inc., in the amount of $2,219,986.32 to rehabilitate taxiway Charlie with a 4-inch HMA overlay and remark runway 13/31.
• Lowest or best bid for the following road materials: asphalt concrete Type B & Type C to Glover & Associates; No. 2 cover material, aggregate and 12-inch pit-run to Kemp Stone; asphalt sand to Muskogee Sand; 3-inch pit-run, fill sand and limestone screenings to APAC (Arkhola).
• Resolution declaring property at Warrior Avenue and Katy Avenue surplus to the needs of the city and authorizing its sale to John Clayton for $652.
• Request to submit a grant application on behalf of the city of Muskogee Wellness Initiative to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for the Community Transformation Grant to enhance pedestrian and bicycle transportation throughout the city.
• Resolution declaring property at Harrison Avenue and Rutherford Street as surplus to the needs of the city and authorizing its sale to Anita Johnson for $163.
• Resolution establishing procedures for non-uniform employees’ union certification election.
REGULAR AGENDA
Approved:
• Resolution approving the incurrence of indebtedness by the Muskogee Municipal Authority pertaining to the year-to-year pledge of certain sales tax revenues to provide advance funding to finance the York Street widening project and the Martin Luther King and the 24th Street projects.
• Contract with Pictometry International Corp. to provide detailed aerial photography of the city of Muskogee in the amount of $28,104.50.
• Estoppel certificate between the Muskogee Urban Renewal Authority, the city of Muskogee, and DOJ LLC, a Missouri company, allowing the sale of a tract of property at Arrowhead Mall where the U.S. Attorney’s Office will build new offices.
• Motion setting Aug. 9 as the election date for eligible non-uniform employees to vote on the question of whether to certify the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Local 2465 as the group’s exclusive bargaining agent.
