Restaurants to give away 1,000 meals

— Hamlin’s El Toro, Charlie’s Chicken West and Kilharen’s Lodge have joined together to serve 1,000 free Thanksgiving meals from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.

The meals will be at Hamlin’s El Toro, 3731 W. Okmulgee Ave.

Additionally, free trolley rides will be provided by Muskogee County Transit with the following pick-up times and locations:

11 a.m.

• Austin Heights Apartments.

• Whispering Pines.

• Fairhaven, 600 Dayton St.

Noon

• Lakeland Shopping Center, East Side Boulevard.

• Arrowhead Mall.

• Green Country Village, intersections of South Fourth and South Fifth streets and West Harris Street.

1 p.m.

• Port City Acres, 36th and Austin streets.

• Rotary Park, 24th and Arline streets.

• Honor Heights Tower, 300 N. 40th St.

• New Life Center, 4025 Gibson St., Gibson Street and Muskogee Turnpike — 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, transportation available from Lakeland Shopping Center to the church, (918) 681-4027.

• Gospel Rescue Mission, 326 S. Second St. — 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, volunteers also welcome, (918) 682-3489.

• St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2130 W. Okmulgee Ave. — 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday in the activity center, (918) 687-7571.

• Runt’s BBQ, 3003 W. Okmulgee Ave. — 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, (918) 681-3900.
