Those who are qualified to vote but have yet to register have until 5 p.m. Friday to do so in order to cast ballots in the upcoming runoff elections.
Qualified voters are those who are 18 years old, Oklahoma residents and U.S. citizens. Those who have never registered or are not registered in the county of residence may apply by filling out and mailing an Oklahoma voter registration application, which must be postmarked no later than midnight Friday.
Applications postmarked after that time will be accepted and processed, but late applications will not be approved until after Aug. 28. Registered voters will be unable to change their political affiliation until Sept. 1.
Voter registration applications are available at county election board offices and at most post offices, tag agencies and public libraries. Applications also are available online at www.elections.ok.gov.
