A division of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation will be in Muskogee from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 7.
ODOT’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) Supportive Services Division is looking for businesses that can become active participants in ODOT federally funded construction projects. The goal is to meet more disadvantaged or small businesses engaged in heavy construction and to better understand the needs of the DBE community.
ODOT is partnering with Marie Seabolt, deputy director of business development for the Business & Economic Development Office of the Muskogee City-County Port Authority, to host the workshop at Three Forks Harbor’s River Center.
The DBE Supportive Services Program offers the opportunity to obtain a free business assessment. The assessment focuses on determining a business’ strengths, opportunities for improvement and ways to improve bottom line performance.
There is no charge for the workshop, and registration is not is not required. However, if you know of a company in your area that ODOT should meet, or if your company is interested in setting up an individual meeting with ODOT regarding the DBE Program, call Martha Garcia at (405) 521-6411.
