Murrow Indian Children's Home invites the public as well as the friends and business associates of Joan W. Brown to attend a reception in her honor. Brown is retiring after 35 years as director of the home.
The reception will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Three Forks Harbor, 5201 Three Forks Road, Fort Gibson.
Not only is Brown the director at Murrow, she is a renowned master Native American artist. She also teaches art, beading and basket weaving to the children at Murrow.
