A Stilwell man and a Tahlequah man pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court to drug charges, said Sheldon J. Sperling, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
Clifford Leon Wilson, age 56, of Stilwell pleaded guilty to drug conspiracy, unlawful user of a controlled substance in possession of a firearm, and drug forfeiture.
Leon Richard Autry, 35, of Tahlequah pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
From March 2005 until June 2009, Wilson conspired with Autry and others to distribute more than 500 grams of methamphetamine, Sperling said.
On May 30, 2008, law enforcement executed a state search warrant on Wilson’s residence in Adair County. During that search, Autry drove onto Wilson’s property to discuss future drug transactions.
“Wilson was an unlawful user of methamphetamine on the date of the service of the search warrant, wherein, officers seized 25 firearms,” Sperling said. “It is a violation of federal law to possess firearms during the unlawful use of methamphetamine.”
Wilson and Autry were indicted in June 2009.
Sentencing will take place following the completion of presentence reports.
