Verlin recently received a 15-year award for Dollar General. He also works for Golden Rule Industries, said Patsy Thornton, manager at Dollar General.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT BEING AN OKIE FROM MUSKOGEE?
When asked what is most special to him about Muskogee, Crigger’s job coach, Twyala Wilkey, assisted him.
Wilkey: “Working at Dollar General and Golden Rule?”
Crigger wiggled his hands side-to-side, smiled and nodded.
Wilkey: “Going to the Mall?”
Crigger responded by smiling big, clapping his hands once, and giving one thumbs-up sign. “Yeah,” he said.
Wilkey: “How about the people of Muskogee?”
Crigger threw his hands in the air, grinned and gave two thumbs-up.
Wilkey: “So the people of Muskogee are important to you,
Verlin?”
“Yeah, yeah,” he said enthusiastically.
