Two people were injured early Monday in a wreck near Interstate 40 on Ross Road, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
A 1998 Chevrolet driven by Michael Easley, 44, of Eufaula was exiting I-40 eastbound and failed to yield to a 2011 Nissan driven by Tammy Lindsey, 48, of Webbers Falls. The Chevrolet struck the Nissan in the driver’s side. Easley was taken to Muskogee Regional Medical Center by ambulance. His passenger refused treatment. Lindsey was treated at MRMC and released.
Easley was listed in good condition at MRMC on Monday afternoon, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The cause of the collision is listed as failure to yield. Seat belts were used in both vehicles, and the Nissan’s airbags deployed, the report states.
