A Wagoner man received a 6 1/2 year sentence Tuesday after pleading guilty to child neglect charges, said Wagoner County Assistant District Attorney Stephanie Milburn.
Stanley Wayne Rice, 38, was arrested in October after a shake-and-bake meth lab he had in a Walmart bag exploded and burned his son, Tyler.
The two were riding on a bicycle together in the Rocky Point area of Wagoner County when the meth lab exploded. Witnesses told investigators Rice stripped the boy’s clothes off after the meth lab exploded, but Tyler’s face was burned.
