Softball tournament to aid cancer patient

— A benefit softball tournament is scheduled for 10 a.m. today at the ball field near the high school in Haskell for Morgan Mitchell and her family. Morgan is a teenager who is battling cancer for the fourth time, and the tournament is intended to raise money to help her family cover the costs of treatment.

More than 10 teams have registered, and a concession stand will be open. Attendance is free, but any donations will be accepted.
