Two people arrested in Webbers Falls on drug complaints were charged Friday in Muskogee County District Court.
Holly Suzanne Garrett, 39, and Elza Benton Smith, 24, were charged with endeavoring to manufacture a controlled dangerous substance/possession of material with intent to manufacture within 2,000 feet of a school.
The crime is punishable by imprisonment for seven years to life, a fine up to $50,000, or both.
The house where Garrett and Smith lived at 109 W. Commercial St. is across the street from Webbers Falls School. Authorities found six “shake-and-bake” meth labs in the house Wednesday.
Garrett and Smith are in the Muskogee County/City Detention Facility on $25,000 bonds. Preliminary hearings for both are set for 10 a.m. Feb. 29.
