The “Ride for the Vets” poker run to benefit veterans served by the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center and its outpatient clinics is set for Sept. 22.
It will begin at the Ernest Childers VA Outpatient Clinic, 9322 E. 41st St. in Tulsa, with a free breakfast, bug dots and event T-shirts for $15. The first poker card will be dealt at 9 a.m. at a cost of $5 per hand or five for $20.
Riders will make stops or can buy in at the VFW Post in Claremore (1717 W. DuPont), American Legion Post in Pryor (1105 W. Graham), Elks Lodge in Wagoner (33604 Long Bay Road), ending with the last bike at 2 p.m. at the Creek Nation Casino in Muskogee (3420 W. Peak Blvd.).
The casino will have a raffle and door prizes. Participants must be 21 to enter the casino.
