A woman has accused a local doctor of touching her inappropriately during a medical exam.
Dr. Hubert Watty, 46, of Fort Gibson was arrested Tuesday afternoon at his office at his office at the Agape Medical Clinic by the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, said Darrin Berry of the Muskogee County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force.
Watty was booked into the Muskogee County/City Detention Facility about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and then released on $15,000 bond.
He was seeing patients Wednesday morning at his Muskogee office.
Watty declined an interview Wednesday.
“My lawyer has advised me not to comment,” he said.
The woman who filed a police report in the case alleges Watty did inappropriate things to her during a medical exam June 28.
She accuses Watty of watching her undress and put on a robe in the exam room. He then allegedly performed an exam on the woman’s vaginal area with no one else in the room, according to the probable cause affidavit.
Additionally, the affidavit says the woman claims Watty made inappropriate comments.
After the exam, the woman said Watty watched her dress then slapped her on the butt on her way out of the exam room.
Watty has been a physician in the Muskogee area for about 12 years, according to his licensure with the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision.
He has no disciplinary history with the OBMLS.
Watty is scheduled to be in Muskogee County District Court at 3 p.m. today for his initial appearance at which time a date will be set for a hearing.
