Voter registration deadline today

— Qualified Oklahoma residents who want to cast a ballot in the Nov. 6 general election must apply for registration today.

In Cherokee, Muskogee and Wagoner counties, voters have until 5 p.m. today to register in person. In McIntosh County, voters have until 4 p.m. today to register in person. Applications that are mailed must bear Friday’s postmark

Oklahoma’s voter identification law requires the name — not the address — on the form of identification presented before voting substantially matches the name listed on the precinct registry.

• McIntosh County Election Board 110 N. First St., Eufaula.

• Muskogee County Election Board, 400 W. Broadway.

• Wagoner County Election Board, 208 N. Lee St., Wagoner.
