Gardening seminar set for Jan. 29

Reservations are needed for the Citywide Gardening Seminar planned for 9 to 11 a.m. Jan. 29 at Muskogee First Assembly, 3100 Gulick.  

Sign-in between 8:30 to 9 a.m. for doughnuts and coffee while registering for door prizes. Free seed catalogs and literature will be available.

To save your spot, call 682-9000 for the free seminar that is open to everyone.

Lisa Raasch of Muskogee Wellness Initiative will speak followed by Wayne Herriman of Sunburst Seed Co. He will introduce new varieties of garden seed and open pollinated seed.

After a break, Martha Stoodley, Master Gardener, will discuss starting seed and transplanting tips.

Andy Qualls will talk about raised bed and container gardening, compost and soil.
