A 19-year-old Inola woman was killed in a single vehicle accident late Thursday on Grain Elevator Road west of Wagoner, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Tiffany Lin Friedl was pronounced dead on arrival at Wagoner Community Hospital with head injuries after the crash about 11:30 p.m., an OHP report states.
Friedl was the driver of a northbound 2005 Ford about five miles north of Oklahoma 51, the report states. When the roadway went from asphalt to gravel, she lost control of the vehicle. It left the roadway on the left and the driver over-corrected, causing the vehicle to go into a broadslide and then to overturn two and one-half times, coming to rest on its top.
Justin Dale Paton, 21, of Inola, a passenger in the vehicle, was not injured, the OHP report states.
Both occupants were wearing seatbelts, according to the report.
