SALLISAW — Sequoyah County prosecutors say the shooting death of a man by his daughter near the unincorporated community of Brent was justified, and no charges will be filed.
Assistant District Attorney John David Luton said Tuesday that 22-year-old Felicia Foreman was defending her mother when she shot and killed 47-year-old Keith Foreman late last Thursday.
Keith Foreman's wife, Shelli, told investigators her husband had terrorized her for about four hours with guns and knives and wrapping a telephone cord around her neck.
Shelli Foreman said her daughter arrived home during the incident, and when Keith Foreman forced her to the ground with a gun at her head Felicia Foreman picked up another gun and shot her father.
Brent is about 10 miles south of Sallisaw.
