The Muskogee NAACP Branch will match opportunity with potential when it hosts its annual NAACP Job Fair 2009. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 21 at the Northeastern State University Muskogee Campus, 24th Street and Shawnee Bypass.
According to a recent report by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Muskogee County’s unemployment rate jumped from 4.3 percent in March 2008 to 7.6 percent in March 2009.
The Muskogee NAACP Branch will tackle this problem by seeking out employers to be a part of the job fair. For booth information, contact 360-2835 or 856-1683.
