JAY — Sequoyah-Adair-Cherokee County Empowerment Zone, Inc. (SACC-EZ) announces a free grant writing workshop from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 26 at the Jay Community Building, 429 S 9th.
SACC-EZ is a regional economic development cooperative, which includes Delaware, Adair, Cherokee, and Sequoyah Counties.
“Communities in this region have expressed a need to learn about grant opportunities, including grant writing, and SACC-EZ is responding to this need by hosting a free grant workshop in an effort to further opportunities in our region,” SAC-EZ chairman Bill Langley said in a media release.
The workshop will feature Julie Ferguson, who has many years experience in writing and managing city government grants, and Rhonda Clemons, who specializes in private and corporate funding.
