BEGGS (AP) — Police in Beggs are investigating the death of a 27-year-old woman whose body was found in a bathtub of a nursing home.
Police Chief James Poulin says an employee of the Country Lane Nursing Home found Lisa Jackson of Tahlequah lying face-down in a tub Thursday night. Poulin says she was pronounced dead after 30 to 40 minutes of resuscitation efforts failed.
A 48-bed facility, Country Lane provides care for patients who have both mental illness and mental retardation.
Poulin says Jackson had a small cut on her forehead. But the police chief says foul play is not suspected.
Country Lane officials say emergency personnel believe that Jackson had a stroke or heart attack as she was running her bath water.
Services are pending for Jackson with Green Country Funeral Home in Tahlequah.
