Myles Davis of Stilwell remained stable condition Wednesday night in Tahlequah City Hospital, but his condition was not available from hospital officials.
Davis, 18, was first admitted to Stilwell Memorial Hospital and then was transferred to Tahlequah with head injuries, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.
Passenger Casey Corner, 18, of Stilwell was in Stilwell Memorial Hospital at Stilwell with arm and trunk-internal injuries and also was stable, the OHP said. Her condition could not be obtained late Wednesday.
At approximately 8:10 p.m. Tuesday, Davis was driving a 2002 Ford pickup westbound on Oklahoma 51 in Adair County at Baird Hill, approximately 3.7 miles west of Stilwell, when he lost control of it on the wet roadway and ran off the left side of the road. The vehicle went down a steep embankment, striking several trees and rolled one complete time, the OHP said.
Both were wearing seat belts, and air bags did deploy, the report states.
