Give blood, get $50 off tax preparation

Jackson Hewitt Tax Services in Muskogee and Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) Tulsa Center are partnering in a community blood drive to save lives and to celebrate January as National Volunteer Blood Donor Month. Healthy, area residents, 17 and older, are encouraged to donate blood from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, in the bloodmobile at Jackson Hewitt, 2117 Chandler Road.

Throughout the day, all donors will receive $50 off of the cost of their tax preparation and everyone who donates between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. will enjoy lunch for free. All donors will receive a unique “There’s A Giver In Me” T-shirt, along with Members for Life points to redeem at OBI’s online store and free health screenings.

Donations take about an hour and can be made every 56 days. To make an appointment to donate at this drive, call Keri or Kelly at 686-6800, or schedule an appointment online at www.obi.org. Photo identification is required to donate.
