A Muskogee man, whose truck overturned on an icy bridge, was in good condition Monday at a Joplin, Mo., hospital, a spokesman said.
Terry Pellett, 61, was driving a 2008 Dodge on the Will Rogers Turnpike six miles north and one mile east of Afton in Ottawa County at 6:55 a.m., an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report states.
The pickup hit an icy patch on a bridge, struck the center wall, went across the road and stuck the guard rail on the right, the report states. The pickup rolled three times before coming to rest on its wheels.
Pellett was pinned in the vehicle for 20 minutes. He was transported to St. John’s Regional Medical Center with arm, leg, head, internal and external trunk injuries.
Pellett was wearing his seatbelt and the airbags did not deploy, according to the report.
