A Coweta teenager was hospitalized after a car crash about 8:35 p.m. Saturday on the Muskogee Turnpike, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
The collision occurred at mile marker 7 in Wagoner County as Daniel Santiago, 19, of Coweta, attempted a u-turn in the center median, according to a report by Trooper Cole Patterson.
His 1995 Toyota Camry collided with a 2001 Ford Excursion driven by Tammy Ponds, 42, of Wagoner.
Santiago was treated and released at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
Valerie Santiago, 16, a passenger in the Toyota, hospitalized Sunday night with head, arm and leg injuries.
Neither Ponds nor her passenger, Karrigan Ponds, 9, was injured, the OHP reported.
Daniel Santiago was pinned in his vehicle for about 20 minutes, the report states. Seatbelts were in use in both vehicles.
