• FREE CHILI DINNER FOR VETERANS, 5 to 8 p.m., DAV Building, 4811 W. Okmulgee Ave., hosted by Green Country Chapter 12 Blue Star Mothers. Open to the public. Veterans will eat for free, and everyone else is asked to pay a $5 donation to Blue Star Mothers. Veterans also may register to win door prizes given every 15 minutes. Items were donated by area merchants. In addition to chili, there will be nachos, chicken enchiladas, deserts and drinks.

• MUSKOGEE CIVITAN FALL FUNDRAISER, begins 7 a.m. Saturday, Civitan House at Civitan Park, between York Street and Country Club Road on Gibson Street. Proceeds go to the construction of handicapped accessible playground and an outdoor classroom for Civitan Park.
