The Cherokee County Health Department is taking enrollment for the upcoming Baby Sign Language Class that is scheduled to begin Oct. 23. Classes will meet one hour a week for four weeks.
All classes will be held at the Cherokee County Health Department, 906 S. College in Tahlequah beginning at 9:30 a.m. or 5:30 p.m.
Baby sign language is a simple and unique form of communicating with infants before they have the ability to speak. Creative signs and gestures are used to aid in communicating with children ages 8 to 24 months. This technique also is beneficial for children with language delays. By using creative sign language, children can actually communicate their thoughts, needs, and emotions before they can speak.
Call Diane Weston at 456-0108 to pre-register or for information.
