The 24th annual Oklahoma Women Veterans Recognition Day will be Nov. 1 at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 1815 S. Meridian Ave, Oklahoma City.
The program kicks off at 9:30 a.m. with speakers including Major General K.C. McClain USAF, commander, Air Force Personnel Center, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, and Karen Malebranche Col, USA (Ret), MSN, RN, executive director, Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom, Department of Veteran Affairs, Washington, D.C.
Social hour and registration begin at 8:30 a.m. Lunch will be provided, and the event is free to all women veterans and female active duty, reserve and guard members, while their guests are charged a fee of $10. Reservations are required, however, for luncheon planning purposes.
The program is co-chaired by Brenda Blair, Women Veterans Coordinator, VA Regional Office, Muskogee, and Sgt. Maj. Pam Bloustine USMCR (Ret).
