Destany Cornejo has been named Hilldale Middle School’s student of the month for October.
Destany is the daughter of Heather Looney and granddaughter of Mark and Dorsinda Wiedel of Muskogee and in the seventh grade. She enjoys playing soccer.
She is on the principal’s honor roll, Student Safety Task Force, leadership class and a peer mediator for Hilldale Middle School. She is also a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church.
The student of the month is nominated by the teachers, and is designed to recognize students who have achieved high academic standards.
The Hilldale Middle School Student Council sponsors the student of the month.
