State medical examiners found no trauma to the body of a man found dead Thursday off Fern Mountain Road, officials said Friday.
“As far as foul play, there was nothing from the medical examiner as far as cause of death,” said Muskogee County Sheriff Charles Pearson.
It could take 13 weeks to get toxicology reports back on Jeffery Jason Everly, 34, Pearson said.
Everly was found dead Wednesday morning, his feet sticking out from bushes near the road leading to his camper trailer. Oliver Ayers, 23, who went to Everly’s residence to give him a ride to work, saw the body as he was leaving.
There were three trailer homes and a house in the immediate area. Witnesses said Everly had attended a party at the site Wednesday night. He allegedly got drunk and was taking Xanax while drinking alcohol, witnesses told Pearson, he said.
