A Wagoner County Jail inmate who walked away from a road work crew Wednesday was captured at 3:22 p.m. Thursday when he was found in the back seat of a girlfriend’s car.
Mike Moore, 38, of Porter was sighted once Wednesday leaving an ex-girlfriend’s home but eluded authorities at that time, said Wagoner County Undersheriff Mark Day.
Oklahoma Highway air and ground patrols joined District 27 Drug Task Force and Wagoner County Sheriff’s deputies and reserves in a manhunt for Moore after he left the road crew near Haskell about 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The arrest Thursday, which took place at 145th and Reno streets in front of Stone Mill Barbecue, was facilitated by Broken Arrow Police and the a U.S. Deputy Marshal, Day said.
