A California couple arrested here last week after they wrecked their car in a police chase will appear Sept. 12 in Muskogee County District Court on multiple felony charges.
Raymond Anthony Marquez, 31, of Waterford, Calif., is charged with three counts of uttering a forged instrument, two counts of knowingly concealing stolen property and one count each of attempting to elude a police officer, leaving the scene of an injury accident and obstructing an officer.
Hannah Lynn Starn, 20, of Hughson, Calif., is charged with two counts of concealing stolen property and one count each of uttering a forged instrument, leaving the scene of an injury accident and obstructing an officer.
The uttering a forged instrument charges alleges they presented forged checks for cashing at Armstrong Bank on Aug. 26 and 27. The possession of stolen property counts allege they had a stolen checkbook in their possession.
The other charges stem from an Aug. 27 police chase that began as they left the Armstrong Bank branch on Chandler Road and ended a few blocks away when their car collided with another vehicle.
Both Starn and Marquez are being held without bond in Muskogee County/City Detention Center.
