A Fort Gibson woman is being held in the Muskogee County/City Detention Facility and is charged with raping a 14-year-old boy.
Melissa Jo Wilson, 33, is charged in Muskogee County District Court with second-degree rape, lewd or indecent proposals or acts to a child under 16 and obstructing an officer. She is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond.
According to court documents, Wilson had sex with the boy between June 1 and Aug. 21. She also is accused of taking the boy to a secluded area — a cemetery — for sex in her car. The obstruction charge, the documents state, came about when Wilson hid the boy in her tree house at her home to hide him from his parents and police.
Wilson will be back in court Sept. 11 for a sounding docket. At that time, a date will be set for a preliminary hearing.
