A Muskogee man and woman are being held in the Muskogee County/City Detention Facility on robbery charges.
Ike Alexander, 26, is being held without bond. He is charged with robbery with a weapon and possession of a firearm after former felony conviction.
Dorothy Washington, 20, is being held on a $200,000 bond on a charge of robbery with a weapon. Both were in Muskogee County District Court on Monday.
Police said last week that Washington was at the house when Alexander knocked at the door of the residence where brothers Jorge Garcia and Salvador Garcia were. One of the men previously had been in a dating relationship with Washington.
Washington opened the door to Alexander, her boyfriend, who stormed into the house, drew a pistol and demanded money. When his demands were denied, Alexander allegedly began beating one of the Garcia brothers in the head with a pistol, police said.
Washington will be back in Muskogee County District Court at 9 a.m. Sept. 8 for a sounding docket at which time a date will be set for a preliminary hearing. Alexander will be back in court at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 4 for a preliminary hearing and a hearing to determine whether suspended sentences he has been out on would be revoked, thus sending him to prison.
