Voting in the Muskogee County District 2 commissioner race began Friday, with 52 votes cast by in-person absentee ballot, said Ellen Thames, Muskogee County Election Board assistant secretary.
“That’s not too bad, considering there are only 11 precincts involved in this election,” Thames said.
In-person absentee voting continues from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the Election Board, in the County Services Building, Fourth Street and Broadway.
In-person absentee voting also will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday.
Regular polling places will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
