WASHINGTON — Watts Partners is proud to announce the selection of Pawnee Crabtree and Walter Buffalomeat into the 2008 J.C. Watts Companies internship program. Crabtree and Buffalomeat are members of the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians in Oklahoma.
J.C. Watts Companies is a diverse, multi-industry business that provides a full range of strategic services.
Crabtree is a 19-year-old Northeastern State University student from Salina. She is serving as an ambassador in her tribe as the 2007-2008 reigning Miss Keetoowah Cherokee, representing the UKB.
Buffalomeat, 22, is of Keetoowah Cherokee and Cheyenne descent. He will be a senior in the fall of 2008 at the University of Oklahoma.
This summer’s internship is a pilot program that the Watts Companies plan to continue each summer. The criteria to be eligible to apply includes: applicant must be at least a junior in college, have a 3.0 GPA and three letters of recommendation.
