A downtown Muskogee child care center is sending children home because an electrical outage affecting lights and air conditioning.
Officials at Youth Central Child Care Center, 301 N. Sixth St., say they are contacting parents to pick up their children.
Elizabeth Kellar, Early Headstart Manager said children will remain at the center until their parents are contacted.
“We don’t know when the problem will be fixed,” Kellar said. “But this whole area is affected including Wilkerson Child Care West.”
No one answered the phone at Wilkerson.
Kellar said parents may call the center at 683-6532 for information.
