A Muskogee physician was one of the newly elected officers members of the Oklahoma Academy of Family Physicians elected at the annual Scientific Assembly, which was held in June in Oklahoma City.
New officers are: Secretary/Treasurer Brad McIntosh, M.D., Muskogee; President Paul E. Wright, M.D., Oklahoma City; President-Elect Paul Preslar, D.O., Midwest City; Vice President Phil Palmer, M.D., Oklahoma City; AAFP Delegate- Mike Woods, M.D., Ramona; AAFP Alternate Delegate- Kevin Steichen, M.D., Tulsa; Immediate Past President Tomás Owens, M.D., Oklahoma City; and Board of Directors: Matt Crespo, D.O., Oklahoma City and Jim Wight, M.D., Ada.
The OAFP was established in 1948 by the authority of the American Academy of Family Physicians, which has a deep-rooted commitment to the health, dignity and well being of the American people. The AAFP is the largest medical specialty organization devoted solely to primary care.
