The Cherokee Nation will be providing $75 dollar clothing vouchers for qualified students from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 23 at the Three Rivers Medical Center, located at 1001 S. 41st St. in Muskogee.
Cherokee Nation’s school clothing program is available to students enrolled in public school in grades K-12. The application must be made by a parent or guardian. Applicants must live in the 14-county jurisdictional area of the Cherokee Nation and meet income guidelines. Participants must present proof of address, income verification and a copy of the student’s tribal citizenship card.
The program is offered through the Cherokee Nation’s Human Services Division. The mission of the department is to develop and support comprehensive social and educational programs for Cherokee people.
