Muskogee County Head Start is accepting enrollment applications for the 2008-2009 school year at its Haskell site, 313 W. Chickasaw. Children must be 3 or 4 years of age by Sept. 1, 2008, and children with special needs/disabilities are encouraged to apply.
Head Start is a free program that provides a variety of child and family services such as education, health, transportation and nutrition at no cost to parents.
Parents should bring the following information when applying if available: Copy of birth certificate, 2007 W2 forms or tax returns, letters from employer or Department of Human Services and the Social Security Administration as proof of income. Head Start staff can assist parents with this information.
Enrollment applications will be taken 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. Or, enrollment applications may be picked up and dropped off at the main office, 540 S. Third St., Muskogee.
