A Bacone College donor has challenged the institution with a dollar-for-dollar matching grant opportunity.
Any gift that is applied toward their Current Dollars for Current Scholars Campaign until July 31 will be matched up to $600,000.
Bacone College has served students since 1880. Last year Bacone provided over $2.7 million in unfunded, institutional scholarships to help students financially so they can afford to attain a quality education.
The school’s economic impact on Muskogee is substantial. Bacone has 31 faculty and 98 staff for a total of 129 employees and an approximate $12 million budget. They recruit a culturally diverse student population from across the United States. Currently, students from Canada and Puerto Rico are enrolled, all of whom either work or shop in Muskogee.
To donate, send a check to: Bacone College, 2299 Old Bacone Road, Muskogee, OK 74403 or call Ryan Hardaway, Director of Institutional Advancement, at 781-7402 for more information. Bacone is a 501(c) 3 non-profit agency so all gifts are tax deductible.
