Area motorists are being encouraged to steer clear of Country Club Road south of Peak Boulevard beginning Monday.
County Commissioner Gene Wallace, District 1, said construction is scheduled to begin Monday on a portion of a new sewer line. The 60-inch wastewater collection line will replace the old Coody Creek outfall line.
South Country Club Road will be closed Monday morning to through traffic. Wallace said the road is expected to remain closed for about a week, depending upon the weather.
