HULBERT (AP) — A former Hulbert police officer is facing a misdemeanor charge amid allegations of sexual conduct with a woman while on duty.
A misdemeanor charge of neglecting his duty as a public official has been filed against 22-year-old Jonathan Baldree. An arrest warrant was issued by Special District Judge Holli Pursley.
Prosecutors allege Baldree was involved in an “inappropriate encounter” with a woman while on duty on New Year’s Eve 2007.
Police Chief Jim Morgan requested the assistance of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation after a 25-year-old woman filed a complaint.
The woman told authorities she had been drinking when Baldree contacted her in the parking lot of a convenience store. She claims she had consensual sex with the officer in the break room of the Hulbert Police Department.
Prosecutors say Baldree will be formally arraigned after his arrest.
