Wear your seat belt or be willing to fork over a fine — no warning tickets will be given starting Monday.
“It’s click it — or ticket,” Muskogee Deputy Police Chief Johnny Teehee said Friday.
“Click it — or ticket” is the slogan for a nationwide seat belt campaign Muskogee police are cooperating with.
Extra officers will be on duty watching for speeding, no seat belt use and those driving under the influence, Teehee said.
The extra effort on seat belt usage will be in effect until after June 1, he said.
“No warnings — only citations on violations of the seat belt law,” Teehee repeated.
