Family members of one of the most prominent leaders in Keetoowah Cherokee history, the late Jim Proctor, gathered along with tribal officials and friends, in front of the Keetoowah Cherokee Elderly Center named in his honor, during a ribbon cutting ceremony. More than 200 attendees were entertained by the Kenwood School Choir, Keetoowah Cherokee Youth Choir and Cherokee Baptist Choir as each choir group sang Cherokee hymns in their native language.
