Members of the Muskogee High School Oklahoma Honor Society are sponsoring a book drive, Thursday through May 14. Books and magazines will be collected at Muskogee High School, 3200 E. Shawnee Bypass and at the Muskogee Public School BEST Center, 202 W. Broadway. Collection boxes will be located in the A-Unit and C-Unit offices at MHS, and in the front foyer at the BEST Center.
Items should be age appropriate, gently used or new and in decent condition. Hardback and paperback books, as well as magazines will be welcomed. Reading materials of all types are needed, including adult and teen books, children's books and magazines.
The reading materials will be donated to several organizations, including WISH (Women in Safe Homes), Jess Dunn Correctional Center in Taft, the Parenting Class at Rougher Alternative Academy and the Muskogee County/City Detention Center.
