A Gore woman was hospitalized Thursday following a single-vehicle crash approximately 2.5 miles west of Vian in Sequoyah County on U.S. 64, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.
Elsie Marie Mullen, 64, was stable when she was flown to St. Edwards Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith, Ark. She was still being treated in the emergency room Thursday evening and her condition was not available, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The crash happened at approximately 12:10 p.m. Mullen was driving a 2003 Dodge Durango westbound, ran off the north side of the road 360 feet and struck a driveway embankment. She was not wearing a seat belt, but her air bag did deploy, the report states.
